Arcosanti Experience
A small series created during a 10-day work/stay at Arcosanti, the arcology (architecture & ecology) site and cooperative community in Arizona.
Desert influence.
At Arcosanti life was simple and communal. Each morning we woke at the crack of dawn to beat the sun while we worked in the garden beds, dead-heading, harvesting veggies, and planting plugs. In the afternoon we were in the archives designing presentations for museums across the counry and a catalog of original drawings.
Everyone lived onsite and meals were eaten together. This piece was affectionately named Loves, after the lights of the gas stations seen from the roof at Arco. Potlucks were a regular occasion, karaoke, and trips down to the nearby creek for a dip.
